Prometric slots after eligibility is issued
Booking is unlocked by: OMSB eligibility
How OMSB exam dates work
The OMSB Prometric exam is booked into an available slot once eligibility is issued, so the date depends on the centre you choose rather than one fixed sitting.
Our timeline data puts evaluation and exam eligibility at 1 to 3 weeks after Dataflow, then 2 to 5 weeks to book and sit. OMSB handles physicians and dentists; nurses, pharmacists and allied health apply to MOH Oman, which runs its own portal and queue.
How to book the OMSB exam
- 1
Employer opens the licence file
Your sponsoring employer opens the file on OMSB for physicians, or on MOH Oman for nursing and allied health.
- 2
Submit Dataflow verification
A standard Dataflow report is required. Verification typically takes 6 to 9 weeks.
- 3
Receive exam eligibility
Evaluation and exam eligibility typically take 1 to 3 weeks after Dataflow.
- 4
Book your Prometric slot
Create an account on the Prometric website, select your authority's exam, pick a test centre and a date from the slots on offer, and pay the exam fee online. Any OMSB-authorised centre can be used, in Oman or internationally. Allow 2 to 5 weeks to book and sit.
- 5
Sit the exam
Bring the passport you used at booking and your appointment confirmation, and arrive 30 minutes early. Personal items go into a locker. Registration and permit activation typically follow in 2 to 4 weeks.
