Exam Dates by Authority

How the exam date is set for each GCC licensing authority and for EMREE, and the steps to book it.

Is there an exam calendar?

For the GCC licensing exams, usually not in the way people expect. DHA, MOHAP, NHRA, OMSB, QCHP and SCFHS deliver the licensing exam through Prometric. DOH delivers the licensing exam through Pearson VUE. Your exam date is the slot you book at a test centre after the authority approves you for the exam, once Dataflow verification has cleared. Availability depends on the centre, and busy cities fill sooner.

EMREE is different. It is the residency entrance examination run by the National Institute for Health Specialties (NIHS), sat alongside your application to UAE residency matching, so its dates come from NIHS rather than from a test centre booking.

We do not publish specific exam days. Always confirm current availability with your authority's test provider, its portal or the NIHS announcement. Last reviewed .

Set by the residency cycle

Not a licensing exam, and not booked with an eligibility ID.

How a licensing exam date is booked

  1. Open your file with the authority and clear Dataflow primary source verification.
  2. Receive your eligibility (an Eligibility ID, Eligibility Letter or evaluation letter, depending on the authority).
  3. Book a slot with your authority's test provider: Prometric for DHA, MOHAP, NHRA, OMSB, QCHP and SCFHS; Pearson VUE for DOH. Pick a centre and a date from the slots on offer; each authority page has its exact payment and booking steps.
  4. On exam day, bring the passport used at booking and your appointment confirmation, and arrive 30 minutes early.
