How DHA exam dates work
The DHA licensing exam is not held on a fixed national date. Your exam date is the Prometric slot you book yourself once DHA issues your Eligibility ID through Sheryan.
You can sit at a centre in Dubai, in your home country or at another authorised international centre. Our timeline data shows Dubai centres opening roughly 4 weeks out, with overseas centres often sooner.
How to book the DHA exam

Build your Sheryan file
Register on Sheryan, DHA's unified professional portal, and upload your documents. Your eligibility is issued through the same portal.

Clear Dataflow verification
Primary source verification must clear before DHA reviews the file. It is the longest step, so start it before you plan an exam date.

Receive your Eligibility ID
DHA reviews the file and issues an Eligibility ID, typically 3 to 7 working days after Dataflow clears. No slot can be booked without it.

Book your Prometric slot
Create an account on the Prometric website, select your authority's exam, pick a test centre and a date from the slots on offer, and pay the exam fee online. Dubai centres open roughly 4 weeks out; overseas centres are often sooner.

Sit the exam
Bring the passport you used at booking and your appointment confirmation, and arrive 30 minutes early. Personal items go into a locker. The DHA result is shown on screen as soon as you finish.

Not for the Prometric licensing exam. The date is the Prometric slot you book after DHA issues your Eligibility ID, so availability depends on the centre you choose. Confirm current slots in your Prometric account before you plan travel or notice periods.
Can I take the DHA exam in my home country?
Yes. Prometric operates in most countries. Once DHA issues your Eligibility ID, you can book any authorised Prometric centre worldwide.
What happens if I fail the DHA Prometric exam?
You can retake it, but there's a mandatory waiting period (typically 3 months) and after 3 failed attempts DHA may require additional training or a specialty review before further attempts.
