About the Paramedic Prometric Exam (PMD7003)

The Paramedic Prometric exam is the computer-based licensing assessment allied health professionals must pass before a Gulf regulator will license them under the Paramedic professional title. The DHA lists it under exam code PMD7003, and the same paper is used across the region's authorities. It sits in the emergency medical services ladder, where each grade — responder, technician, paramedic, critical care — has its own paper and its own scope.

The sitting is 150 multiple-choice questions in 3 hours — about 1.2 minutes per question — and the pass mark is 60%. There is no negative marking and no penalty for a guess, so pacing matters more than caution: candidates lose marks to unanswered questions at the end of the paper far more often than to wrong ones.

The DHA has not published a topic blueprint for PMD7003, so the paper is written to the authority's stated scope of practice for the role. Revision is best organised around the day-to-day competencies of that scope — the procedures, safety rules and documentation a paramedic is accountable for — rather than around a textbook's chapter order. Our chapters follow that same split, so a weak score maps onto a competency you can go back and fix.

The step that delays most paramedic candidates is not the paper: it is eligibility. The regulator has to accept your qualification and experience, and Dataflow has to return the primary source verification, before the Prometric booking window opens at all. Start that paperwork in parallel with your revision rather than after it.

This bank holds 413 explained MCQs written to that blueprint, with a full written explanation on every question — including the reasoning that rules the other options out. Retries are unlimited, and the timed mocks run at the real 150-question, 3-hour, 60%-to-pass settings so exam day is not the first time you sit the paper at that pace.

One paper, seven regulators: whether you are booking the Paramedic exam through DHA in Dubai, MOHAP or DOH elsewhere in the UAE, SCFHS in Saudi Arabia, QCHP in Qatar, NHRA in Bahrain or OMSB in Oman, the syllabus overlap is substantial and the same preparation carries across. Where the authorities differ is the pass mark, the eligibility tier and the number of attempts they allow — not the content of the paper.

Paramedic exam — frequently asked questions

What is the exam code for the Paramedic Prometric exam?

The exam code is PMD7003. You will see it on the DHA Sheryan listing and on your Prometric booking confirmation; quote it when you book so you are scheduled onto the right paper rather than a neighbouring grade.

How many questions are in the Paramedic exam and how long is it?

150 multiple-choice questions in 3 hours — about 1.2 minutes per question. It is delivered on computer at a Prometric test centre, and there is no negative marking, so never leave a question blank.

What is the pass mark for the Paramedic Prometric exam?

60% for the PMD7003 paper under the DHA guideline. Other GCC authorities publish their own thresholds for the same content, so confirm the figure with the regulator you are applying to before you book.

Which authorities accept the Paramedic Prometric exam?

The Prometric-delivered paper feeds the licensing pipelines of DHA (Dubai), MOHAP (UAE), DOH (Abu Dhabi), SCFHS (Saudi Arabia), QCHP (Qatar), NHRA (Bahrain) and OMSB (Oman). Each regulator sets its own eligibility tier, pass mark and attempt limit, but the syllabus overlap is substantial.

How should I prepare for PMD7003?

Work through the 413 explained MCQs chapter by chapter, read the explanation on every question — right or wrong — then sit the timed mocks at the real 150-question, 3-hour setting until you are clearing 60% comfortably rather than narrowly.

The referral discount + coupon combo made this really affordable for a family with two doctors preparing at once. Both of us cleared DHA back to back.

Loved the interface - clean, fast, no ads. The retry mode where you only see the ones you got wrong is a lifesaver in the last week before the exam.

Very well organized. The pass score prediction after finishing chapters kept me honest - I re-attempted the ones under 70% until I was above 85% consistently.

Solid question bank. A couple of questions in the older chapters felt slightly outdated but the explanations were still accurate. QCHP verdict: passed.
